LUGGAGE – What are the weight and size limits for hold and cabin baggage?
The permitted dimensions and weights for both hand luggage and hold luggage are set by the airline and may depend on the ticket you have purchased.
- Hand luggage:
Airlines often allow one piece of hand luggage per person. The maximum size generally permitted is 115 cm (the sum of the three dimensions: L + W + H), with a weight of between 5 and 10 kg. However, some airlines have stricter rules.
- Checked baggage:
We advise you to check with the airline or airlines you are travelling with, as the number and weight of items of hold luggage may vary from one airline to another and depending on the class in which you are travelling.
For further details, please contact the airline(s) you will be travelling with. Please take care when making connections.
LUGGAGE – Can I take a handbag or a laptop as well as a piece of hand luggage?
The policy on the number and size of items of hand luggage depends on your airline.
- Some airlines, particularly low-cost carriers, only allow’one piece of hand luggage per passenger and must not exceed a specific size set by the company.
- Whilst some airlines (e.g. Air France, etc.) always allow a handbag in addition to your cabin bag – usually one item (handbag or laptop) – others only allow this under certain conditions depending on the type of ticket that you have taken.
We therefore advise you to check with the airline or airlines you are travelling with
